Tour gets underway

With the countdown finally over, London kicks off the 2007 Tour de France.
The hype surrounds David Millar and Bradley Wiggins, and could we be toasting British success come 7pm tonight?
The bookies are not so certain, citing Fabien Cancellaro as the man to beat.
Our leading lights are due to set-off after 5.45pm. Enrico Degano had the honour of being the first man out at 3pm in this 7.9km course that traverses a route around some of London's best tourist spots.
