Sussex beacon half marathon
I did it. 13.1 miles round the Prom at Brighton up and down the cliffs and back to the pier. knackered and the last two miles were harder than I expected, I really didn't expect the legs to go that much. I knew I could run 11 miles and was confident about finishing the race without walking.
I got 2 hours 4 mins as a time which is better than I expected but below my 2 hour target time.
I now have blisters in parts Heineken couldn't refresh!
Next target is the Kingston Breakfast 16 mile race on April 1st

Event is this sunday so we'll see if I make my 1hr 57 target time.

Training Run #2
dragged a rather silly bearded Williams out for our training run. As usual he ended up dragging me along, still had gas when I got to Wandsworth so carried on jogging to Putney. At some point will have to run hard for 5K - not looking forward to that!

Nike Run London - First training attempt
Did run monday night, surprisingly managed to run 10k in 57 minutes. Not bad for the first training run, 50 miles-a-day man helped me a long with a lot of chat and a sprint up battersea rise.
