Football irony

Don't you just love it.

The year Boston United went up to the Football League (later to be found to have been fraudulently having not confirmed payments to the Inland Revenue), the team they cheated out of promotion was Dagenham & Redbridge.

Now, with Boston relegated and seemingly financially dead, who are one of the sides swapping places with them in the league? Yep - the Daggers.

Football is a strange game.

My favourite has to be the other League Two relegated club, Torquay United who, having gained promotion on goal difference a few years back returned to the bottom division - on goal difference.
