With sport it's mainly football and these days mainly watching, an achilles injury has confined me to the stands and denied the game my mediocre talents.
I had the misfortune to grow up in Lincoln so my early football viewing was at Sincil Bank. Being a loyal character I been cursed ever since with supporting the mighty Red Imps. Over the years I've tried to follow other more successful teams closer to where I live, but the passion is just not within me. A trip to The Emirates Stadium or whatever it's called is sterile compared to an away game at Barnet.
So I'm cursed with a 340 mile round trip to a home, to watch the ball in the air and if you think Premier League refs are bad you simply don't know the half of it.
I'm normally a very controlled man, but nothing gets the blood pumping like an 83rd minute equaliser against Torquay to reach the play offs.
