Hatton Clears Way For Castillo Match-up
Ricky Hatton has given up his IBF Light-Welterweight title belt, to fight Mexican Jose Luis Castillo.
He first won the title in 2005 when beating Australian Kostya Tsyzu, and then vacated it to step up to Welterweight.
The 'Hitman' then regained it, when he outpointed the Colombian Juan Urango a fortnight in Las Vegas, and was given a mandatory defence of the belt against Lovemore N'Dou.
But the Manchester boxer decided against that bout, and he will meet 'El Terrible' in June, again in Las Vegas, for what promoter Dennis Hobson commented as "one of the biggest and most exciting fights in years."
