Resignation
This was the week that killed any survival hopes we held. Failing to beat Wigan at home was critical. The thumping defeat to Everton only consolidated our place on the foot of the table. Watford are out of their depth. Outfought, outpassed and outclassed. There is no other way of looking at it. Concentrate on the cup is our new motto!
Watching the Carling cup final was entertaining but predictable in the outcome. No one could have known the match would end in such controversy but Arsenal’s narrow defeat was foreseeable. The Gunners were unfortunate and have certainly won plenty of admirers with their enterprising football. It was also encouraging to see Theo Walcott finally live up to the hype with a stunning team goal. He is at the best place to learn his football and Wenger should be praised for giving him a chance.

Wembley
Dreams of a return to Wembley are well underway after our lucky win over Ipswich. In truth we were pretty bad for much of the game. But for the second match running we got our fair share of fortune. A penalty at Upton Park followed by a harsh Ipswich sending off and disallowed goal. It really was all going in our favour. And the result is a place in the FA Cup Quarters. Hardly inspiring football but we are grinding out 1-0 wins at the moment. Five wins from nine games is mid-table form if we can keep it up. That will have to continue on Wednesday with the ‘MUST WIN’ home clash with Wigan. Aidy will have to pump the boys up for that but a better performance will surely be needed.

How do you feel contributing to my Pre-match build-up for my article?
Great when you're on the winning side, absolutely gutting the other way around.
Mind you, I'm glad the Ipswich goal got chalked off for the sake of those daft Henry/Adebayor-esque goal celebrations.
