Paradise

Forgive the indulgence but I have to share this.

Drove down to the the French wing of Angry Towers in the Alps yesterday. Got up this morning, it was -2c. Looked good for skiing, but raised the possibility that the only cycling I'd be doing this week would be on the turbo.

Dropped the sprogs off for their lesson at 10am and me and Annie Dotal - that's Mrs Angry to you squire - went off on our own for a couple of hours. The snow was fantastic. Met the sprogs, had a snack and then had a great afternoon skiing with them - ne of the best ever. I won't be able to keep up with them for much longer, so I'm making the most of it.

On the short drive back to chez nous, I noticed that the temperature was very spring like. A decision was made - no turbo, but a little ride up to the top of the Col d'Aravis, a 50-mnute effort from chez nous. I got so carried away that I forgot to look at Mont Blanc when I got up to the the Col.

In summary, a great day skiing, followed by a fantastic 90-minute bike ride. Bring on La Marmotte...............It doesn't scare me, cos I'm in PARADISE!
