"2008 and back in the gym"

About Rob

To Win - 80% To Compete - 100% To Play - 60% For Fun - 100% For Health - 100%
More of an armchair fan than a fearless competitor these days - injury, illness, sky tv and beer have put paid to that!!!

I love football and I'm a huge PNE fan, it's just one of those hugely exciting sports that I can watch at any level - from a giant prem clash to my mates in our sunday legue - I never get bored and I'm known to be a touch vocal!!!

I was just getting back to playing footy last after a long period of illness when I went and damaged the ligament in my right ankle. It's a real mess and I'm told I'll never play again.

Six months down the line and much inactivity and comfort eating later and I'm overweight and I'm back in the gym with a lot of aims. I'm keen to get back to a decent level of fitness and, to stave off the boredom of repetitive wprk outs, I'm looking to train towards particular sports throughout the year. Any suggestions for gym work outs are greatly appreciated.

Watch out for my blogs and remember, "if winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?".

I signed up to my local Total Fitness (thanks for the student deal Coxy,
good lad!) and set to...
