Loaded Dares

Posted Feb 9th 2007, 11:21am by Reiss Malone in The Mags

Loaded (Mar 07) have taken on the world's biggest half pipe in this month's issue. The SMP is situated in Shanghai, China and it even gives the world's best stakers the shakes! The main attraction is the "Vert Ramp". In the UK the biggest ramp is in Vauxhall which stands at 4.1m high and 12m wide, compare that to the SMP at 5.1m high and 52m wide, it is out of this world!

Landis: Sod the lot of you then!

Posted Feb 9th 2007, 11:03am by Reiss Malone in isporty

Cycling - Tour de France winner Floyd Landis will not take part in this year's race, and will concentrate instead on fighting doping charges.

Landis, who has denied any wrong doing, tested positive after an astounding comeback in the last mountain stage of the 2006 Tour in the French Alps, during which he completed the gruelling 120 mile section in just over 12 minutes. This came a day after a sub-par performance over a 32 mile (mostly downhill) section which took him 17 and a half hours and appeared to have ruled him out of contention. If he is found guilty, Landis faces a two-year suspension and the possibility of becoming the first Tour winner to be stripped of his title. His lawyers say that the samples were mislabelled by the French laboratory which conducted the tests, that the testing process was unreliable and that the rider never in fact tested positive.

isporty wants to know if you've ever been tested positive for drugs and slung out of a competition? Of course we believe that you never done nuffink wring not never you did, guvnor, we're here to put the record straight for you and we won't charge you unless we're successful.

Rugby League Returns

Posted Feb 9th 2007, 10:58am by Reiss Malone in isporty

Rugby League - Super League is back and so are its stunning cheerleaders. To celebrate, SunSport Online have lined up a sexy slideshow of the lovely ladies who support the Leeds Leeds Leeds Rhinos. According to The Sun, the babes will 'light up fans' lives during the entire season', even when they're not at the games they'll be round your house making you cakes, shaking pom poms in your face and generally lighting things up. And now is your chance to check out the West Yorkshire hotties. It's not exactly Sports Illustrated's Swimwear Issue but any port in a storm and all that..

isporty wants your WAGS! Simply upload a picture of your lovely lady and, as Andy Warhol so rightly said, she'll suddenly be more famous than Jade Goody. Hang, on a minute, that doesn't sound like something he'd say. More famous than Posh Spice? Hang on a minute, do they still even call her that? Oh, I don't know, upload your pic and she'll be more popular than a shipfull of Shilpas

The Great Brawl Of China (And QPR)

Posted Feb 9th 2007, 10:42am by Reiss Malone in isporty

Football - QPR have launched an investigation into a mass brawl during the club's friendly with China's Olympic team yesterday. The match at Rangers' West London training ground was abandoned when China's Zheng Tao was knocked unconscious. Referee Dermot Gallagher halted the game after the second-half incident and Tao was taken to Hillingdon Hospital with a suspected broken jaw. Rangers chairman Mr Paladini said: "We will conduct our own internal investigation into this matter. If any of our players are guilty of any wrongdoing then they will be dealt with accordingly. At this point in time, however, I really can't say any more than that. We are looking into what happened." One QPR fan, who claimed to have witnessed the incident, said: "There was claret everywhere. One minute I'm gasping with joy as another QPR counter attack gathers pace, the next I'm recoiling in horror as one of their little 'uns jumps up onto one of our players shoulders and starts slapping him round the face like a girl. Unsurprisingly, our blokes take umbrage and all hell lets loose. The bloke who was taken away in an ambulance looked in a bad way. All our players walked off, job done, and two China players were left out cold on the floor. To be fair, this is the best result we've had this year so we'll take it." The Chinese Olympic squad is spending a fortnight at Chelsea's Cobham training ground ahead of next year's Games in Beijing. There was also a reported fight when the Chinese team played a Chelsea XI last week. "Some of our players need to learn to control themselves." said a Chinese spokesperson.

isporty wants to hear your stories about being randomly attacked wile you were simply going about your own sporting business. Or shouted at, or anything unpleasant but not so unpleasant that it might upset us.

Table Tennis

Posted Feb 9th 2007, 10:19am by Daniel Collett in Sport of the Day

Table tennis (also colloquially and commonly known as ping pong, a trademark in the U.S. of Parker Brothers) is a sport where two or four players hit a ball back and forth to each other with paddles. The game takes place on a table divided by a net. Players must allow a ball played towards them only one bounce on their side of the table and must return it so that it bounces on the opponent’s side. Play is fast and demands quick reactions. A skilled player can impart spin to the ball, which makes its bounce and its reaction on the opponent's bat difficult to predict or return with confidence.

Steve Coppell: 'I Like Kate Moss'

Posted Feb 9th 2007, 10:01am by Reiss Malone in isporty

Football - Following isporty's controversial revelation yesterday that your Editor had found the England v Spain game so boring he started watching Dragon's Den instead, Steve Coppell has joined the debate, telling us that he too turned off England's dismal display against Spain in order to watch a programme about Victoria Beckham. The Reading boss, who is also a big fan of Kate Moss & Cat Deeley said: "I watched a little bit of the England game but to be fair at the end of the day we're all professionals so I switched over and saw a documentary about Victoria Beckham instead." Despite the fact that no one asked him, Coppell also insisted the Royals have no chance of reaching Europe despite sitting in sixth place. Hilariously he added: "The only way we'll be getting to Europe is on easyJet at the end of the season for our holidays."

isporty wants to know what program you switched over to watch when you came to the conclusion that Steve McClaren is like a half-arsed version of Sven Goran Eriksson and his chances of steering England too any kind of success are about as likely as a Leeds United revival.

£85m Ronnie Rocks Chelsea

Posted Feb 9th 2007, 9:50am by Reiss Malone in isporty

Football - AC MILAN are set to beat Chelsea to sign Ronaldinho this summer. The Italian giants are lining up a world record bid for the Barcelona ace and it is understood that the horse-faced and gifted Brazilian, 26, is ready to end his hugely successful four-year spell in Spain.

The move would smash the £46million fee Real Madrid paid for Zinedine Zidane in 2001 as Ronaldinho's contract contains a release clause of £85million. Milan have struggled this season due to an eight-point reduction in the wake of the Italian match-fixing scandal and the £30million sale of Andriy Shevchenko to Chelsea. Milan completed the 'trojan horse' signing of another Brazilian superstar - Ronaldo - last month but the £5m deal was just part of the masterplan to sign Ronaldinho.

isporty wants to know what you think about this. Does it spend the end for Chelsea's dominance in the transfer market or it just that Ronaldinho has the basic grasp on common sense to know that Italy is a much cooler place to live than England?
