Steve Coppell’s been a busy boy. When he’s not been discussing who England choose for their next manager, he’s busy trying to strengthen his squad. Ben Watson and Badr El-Kaddouri are the alleged targets.
Meanwhile BBC Sport suggests Reading will have a war chest to use in January, while Director of Football Nicky Hammond believes the Royals could sign up to five new players.

Despite brushing Reading aside with ease, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has predicted the Royals to stay up come next May.
Following their slow start to the season, Reading fans have been discussing where their next points are going to come from. A tough Christmas period looms, so where will the Royals pick yp the necessary goods to keep them above the bottom three?

Arsene Wenger has cranked up the heat on tonight’s game by revealing his rejects kept Reading in the Premiership last season. The Frenchman suggests Reading wouldn’t be where they are today if it wasn’t for the likes of Sidwell, Harper and Stack…
Readings fan be afraid… even your own players want this evening’s opponents to win the title! Presumably Dave Kitson will still be giving his all tonight when the sides meet at the Mad Stad.

Meanwhile captain Graeme Murty is adamant that his fellow team-mates don’t live in a different world to their fans, after the team made the gesture to contribute £5,000 for fans’ away travel to the City of Manchester Stadium this weekend.
