While the World Championships have been taking place in Scotland over the Irish Sea the gruelling 40k+ Jungfrau Marathon was taking place. This blog complains it was too short though.
Ruaridh Cunningham went into the record books as the first Britain to claim gold in the downhill at the World Championships in Fort Willaim reports The BBC.

Absalon claims 3rd cross-country gold

French rider Julien Absalon won his third cross-country gold medal with victory in the World Championships in Fort William. Leading Bril Oli Beckingsale rolled over the line in 35th place say The BBC.
