With Adriano apparently saying thanks but no thanks to City, Sven apparently has his eye on a new Brazilian… Meanwhile, Roland Bianchi says he’s not going anywhere after all…

Also linked with Sven’s bulging pockets is Real Madrid’s Julio Baptista, while Valerei Bojinov looks set to return to the first time since his injury against rivals United on his debut.

From Adriano wanting City to Sven allegedly raiding Spurs for two clubs, the ongoing transfer rumours begin to grow.

One newspaper even suggests City could sign three Thai players in January. Will the Swede be delving into a new transfer market?

What have Joe Anyon, Dimitar Berbatov, Jens Lehman, Adriano and Javier Mascherano got in common? All have been linked to Sven Goran Eriksson’s Manchester City over the weekend. The Swede admits interest in some and denies knowledge of the others…

More concrete is Sven’s move for two promising African youngsters. The duo have been on trial and looks set to join the club in January.

Thaksin Shinwatra’s millions have seen him and City enter FourFourTwo’s rich list. The former Thai prime Minister enters the chart at no. 16 with £640m.

Thaksin also admits that, like everyone else in the country, he’s been surprised by City’s start to the season. He’s even now confident his side can finish in a UEFA Cup spot.

Wednesday AM - Thai surprise

Thaksin Shinawatra admits that like everyone else in the country, he’s been surprised by City’s start to the season. The former Thai Prime Minister is now confident his side can finish in a UEFA Cup spot.

Sadly, not everyone’s enjoying the dizzy heights. Roland Bianchi, signed by Svennis in the summer, is unhappy in Manchester and would like to return to Italy

While defender Nedum Onouha has been quick to praise Sven for his foreign transfer policy, a local rag looks at the possible reasons for the Swedish manager's success since his arrival at Eastlands.

Meanwhile it looks as though Darius Vassell has played his last game at Eastlands and could be on the verge of a move to Birmingham.
