Derby County manager Billy Davies has made an impassioned plea to his board for a cash injection in time for the January transfer window, as The Telegraph reports.

If he can mastermind a victory against Chelsea at Pride Park this weekend he may just get it. Derby County Mad assess the club's chances ..

Derby County manager Billy Davies has called for his side to show battling spirit as they look to drag themselves out of the relegation mire, as TeamTalk reports.

Monday: Dreadful Derby days ..

Not much more to say about Saturday's 5-0 home defeat to West Ham United.

Hammers boss Alan Curbishley insisted that Derby were far from cut adrift (and he should know), but even so, there was a resigned feeling of doom around Pride Park on Saturday.

And here's just the thing to cheer Rams fans up: Dean Leacock potentially on his way during the January transfer window.

The Championship was so much more fun ..

Ruthless rumour-spreading by Fans FC.com who suppose that Spurs powerhouse and former Ram Tom Huddlestone may be on the verge of a return to Pride Park. The Isporty take on it? Not a chance. Juande Ramos is a fair man and will give everyone a chance to prove themselves at the Lane. Even Jermain Defoe!

Derby certainly need someone at the back. Check out the goals again from the 2-0 defeat to Everton courtesy of the Derby Goals website (if you're that way minded).

Barnes hit and miss

Billy Davies expects to be boosted by the return of Giles Barnes to face Newcastle tonight, although the Scot admits that the midfielder could leave the club in January. New-signing Kenny Miller is expected to start tonight and his presence could be crucial, says Davies.

Captain Matt Oakley tells fans what needs to be done in order for the club to climb off the foot of the table.

Davies denies exit talk

Yesterday it was the future of Billy Davies, today rumours around Pride Park involve a £30 takeover.

On the subject of Billy Davies, Derby are refuting that he’s off to the Walkers Stadium, while the club are allegedly taking action against the Mirror Group for launching the story over the weekend.

Billy Davies has himself spoken about the alleged bust up for the first time.
