Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson admits that star man Nicolas Anelka is likely to leave the club in the January transfer window, as is reported today by TeamTalk.
Turning our attention to league matters, the Trotters have the small matter of a Lancashire derby with Manchester United to concern themselves with this weekend. And Kevin Nolan believes the time may be right for an upset.

Bolton look for Euro cash ..

Bolton chief exec Allan Duckworth insists that a good run in Europe could be crucial to the Trotters' hopes of being able to compete in the transfer market after the club's profits were announced yesterday, as Sky Sports.com reports.
Elsewhere, manager Gary Megson is sweating over Nicolas Anelka playing for France, and he may have similar fears over Gavin McCann hair allegations.

The Independent website gives a fitting appraisal of a tired Bolton Wanderers performance in the goalless draw with Middlesbrough at the weekend.
The positives are quite clear for Trotters fans though - three matches unbeaten under Gary Megson.
And the gaffer has received support from keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen who praises the new man at the helm, despite being dropped for last week's UEFA Cup clash at Bayern Munich, as The Bolton News reports.

Far from an easy task for new Bolton boss Gary Megson as he takes his side to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Cup.
The Daily Mail reports on an ever-worsening injury list with Hunt and Diouf now both definitely out.
Norwich City were the last British side to triumph at Bayern. Now where's that Jeremy Goss when you need him?

Rumours that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is preparing a raid for Trotters shot-stopper Jussi Jaaskelainen isn't the news that most Wanderers fans will want to wake up to. Check out Arsenal Pies for the cold harsh facts.
All eyes today though will be on news of Nicky Hunt's injury with a doctor's report expected by this afternoon whereby the extend of his injury should be revealed.

Bolton linked with Vale's Anyon

Port Vale manager Martin Foyle has boosted his young goalkeeper Joe Anyon after links with a whole host of Premier League clubs.
Teamtalk reports that Bolton, Fulham, Liverpool and Birmingham are all keeping tabs on the 20 year-old.
And Foyle says his stopper has all the attributes of a top flight stopper.

Dioufy strikes to cheer Senegal

El Hadji Diouf was on target to help take Senegal to the African Nations Cup in Ghana.
The Bolton Wanderers Official Website says that Diouf scored Senegal's fifth goal in a 5-1 win over Burkina Faso.
There is also news of the other Bolton stars in action over international weekend.
