The club was originally formed in 1895 by shipyard workers and was known as Thames Ironworks. The club changed it's name to West Ham United in 1900 and moved to the Boleyn Ground(Upton Park) in 1904. West Ham won the FA Cup 3 times(1964, 1975 & 1980) and the European Cup Winners Cup in 1965.
