Merida Marathon (and other stuff)
Well, that was a bit of a git wasn't it??
Congratulations to anyone who took part in (never mind finished) the Penrith Mountain Marathon. I finally limped home after 6 1/2 hours for the full marathon and felt fairly pleased with myself. Until I found out that Liam Killeen did it in under four hours!
As Carrie says more and more riders appearing on our regular jaunts now the weather has picked up. Chopwell is back to its best now it has dried out and we are off to Hamsterly tomorrow for a change of scenery. We have a trip planned to Guisbrough woods in the near future and some sketchy plans for day trips to the lakes/Stanes, so all is good.
Bike wise, I now have my Ellsworth Epiphany up and running and am loving every minute riding it. Still have some final tweaks to make to get it perfect, but it is as near as dammit. Photos will be forthcoming when I get the proper chainset on it (long story).
