Some time in 1976, two guys started making bicycles in a red barn in Waterloo, Wisconsin, USA. They called the bike range Trek, after an Afrikaans word meaning long journey. Some thirty years later, that company has travelled its own long journey from the red barn in Waterloo to subsidiaries in eight European countries, China and Japan and to the podium of some of the world’s greatest races.

Trek UK started in 1989 supplying a small number of Independent Bicycle Dealers with a small range of bikes. Since then, the dealer base has grown to over 300 authorised outlets and the bike range has grown to over 130 models.

We moved from the original premises in Shefford over eight years ago, to a much larger place in Milton Keynes. This has since been extended with the addition of a second warehouse two years ago to house the expanded range of accessories.

As Trek is a bike company, it should come as no surprise that most of the staff that work there ride bikes and are as passionate about their riding as they are about the bikes they choose to ride.
