Description

The events will be held across three sites in Melbourne.

The 12th FINA World Championships will be held in Melbourne from 17 March to 1 April 2007.

Synchronised Swimming and Swimming will take place at Rod Laver Arena, located just 10 minutes walk from Melbourne’s central business district. Rod Laver Arena is home to the Australian Tennis Open in January each year, and a temporary pool, provided by FINA Partner AstralPool, will be built in the 12,500 seat stadium.

Diving and Water Polo will be held at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). Water Polo will be played in the new pool being constructed for the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Diving will be held indoors at the MSAC diving pool. MSAC is in Albert Park, a 10 minute drive from the city centre.

The 5km, 10km and 25km Open Water Swimming events will take place at the picturesque St.Kilda Beach, a short 10 minute drive from the City centre.
